Re: ZigBee Plugwise Smart Sockets Measure Energy Consumption

At last...these UK versions have been a long time coming !

I bought some European versions and also 'Stealth' inline units and I'm
pretty impressed. So I have now just added a bunch of UK plugs. I do
think the RF range of the UK versions seems slightly less than the
others though, maybe because the cable comes down in front of the antenna.

There is a HomeSeer plugin for them (and from there you can get to xAP
if you wish) . The ZigBee is implemented with a proprietary protocol
layer. No dimmers yet and the wall switches are only just becoming
available. If anyone has any questions then ask away.

I'm also in a position to source these on a bulk buy at attractive
pricing if sufficient people are interested, ... just drop me an email...

Cheers Kevin
