RE: XBMC on PPC Mini-Mac to a Bravia TV

I don't like the iPhone for one real reason only and you hit upon it
below.
It cannot multi-task!!

Now why is it that Apple claim to have used a Linux like OS for this phone
yet the damn thing can't Multi-task?

It looks good and the screen is superb but that is about all I like about
it!!

Sorry for the rant!!

OK - here's something I don't understand ...

... why the hell do people want to use iPhones to control kit at home?

It has to be the most Godawfull stupid idea *EVER*!

Your iPhone goes with you when you leave the house (or when you leave the
room) so when you walk out of the room then no-one else can use whatever it
is that you use the iPhone to control and if you're on the phone then you
lose the ability to control anything unless you kill the call you're on.
Imagine how annoying it would be to be flicking through a list of movies
when your phone rings and dumps you out of the control app you're using and
then you have to decide whether to take the call and leave people in the
room waiting or reject the call - does that not strike anyone else as being
a crap form of control?

"Sorry dear - you can't watch a film tonight as I'm going to be late
home
from work so you won't have my phone..."

Pfft!

Come the revolution...

Phil
