To the best of my knowlegde, they can all send/recieve txt msgs, it's
the
way most of them are activated. However, most the the Windows apps I've
seen
are quite clunky and may be tricky to automate.
As they all have a SIM onboard, they all have their own phone number. As
they're IP based, I don't think they do 'data calls' as such, but if the
system you're going to implement doesn't do anything on the net most of the
time, then the data usage is going to be minimal.
