Tivo coming to NZ

So finally after having Tivo in the UK for donkey's years, and having
a good hacking sub-community built around it, it's finally planned to
arrive in NZ sometime this/next year.
I believe it'll be based on the AU models since it's that same company
that is launching into NZ. Anyone know if things like the turbonet (I
think that was what is was called, for ethernet connectivity), hard
drive replacements, or other UK-like hacks will work on these NZ/AU
Tivo boxes?
