Freesat series record vs TIVO Season pass

Hi all,
Looking at the posibility of retiring my venerable Tivo. The main
reason that is stopping me from changeing the Tivo is the Season Pass
feature. I know that Freesat+ has a Season Record feature which I
assume is very similar (although I can't find a good review of it on
the web). Does anyone know the answer to the following questions;
1. Does Season Record remember your requests even if the series has
finished. ie. If I want to record Top Gear, I don't want to have to
remember to setup a new Season Record at the begining of each TV
season.
2. Does the Season Record work over multiple channels. So if something
is on say ch4 and ch4+1 you only need to setup one Season Record.
