We found this one out the hard way.
2 different readers for 2 applications (not linked) - one reader only
ever worked when your 'fob' was touching it, the other, from about 5
inches and would read a 'glancing blow' (test environment).
Mounted new one on the wall (within 3 inches) - neither work! One
refilled hole in the wall later and about 8" separation now both work
but both now only on touching with fob. And you try matching up new and
old paint - doesn't work :)
