Motherboard Help (Again)

I have to admit to being really out of the loop on hardware these
days.  I
desperately need to upgrade my old server at home.  Can anyone point me to
a
mobo / CPU / ram combo please?

I think I want VM capable core 2 duo and will need plenty of sata ports
and/or slots for sata cards.
