I think they do paging, see the "Special Features" section on:

I assume these are DECT phones rather than using bluetooth to
"network" them together do I could use a mix of these and
"normal"
dect phones?

The IP version of the S685 seems to be ~=A330 more than the non IP
versions (in twin & triple handset packs) - I'm wondering whether it's
worth the extra given that I don't (currently) have a VoIP account...
