Re: Re: Going Virtual - A Home Server Experience
Overpriced is in the eye of the beholder - just got 6 years use out
of=20=20
my G4 - I've never managed that with any bit of PC kit that I have=20=20
ever owned (witness the stacks of old PC bits sitting in the cupboard).
BTW I recently read a power users post for VMWare Fusion and=20=20
discovered it has a hidden "headless" mode that gives you a new
view=20=20
option "Headless" that shuts down the GUI portion and leaves the
VM=20=20
running in th background! Set the machine to startup automatically=20=20
and voila background VMs at startup on Mac OSX. You can reconnect at=20=20
any time by just selecting the machine from the Fusion library and=20=20
changing the view.
Fanboy?....... Maybe :-)
