Hi Lee,

I'm another Comfort user.  Mine was professionally installed when we did
the house but I've done all the subsequent configuration.  It's been bullet
proof in the past 7+ years and only needed a new battery and replacement
light sensor (which corrode over time).  However, latest versions don't
need a light sensor so no worries there!

I use it for most core lighting control and HA on things like fountains in
the garden.  I do also run an integrated 3rd party app that provides for
things like text to speech, caller id and allows comfort events to be
'pumped out' xAP.

Not everything goes back to Comfort as I use other components (e.g.
temperature and power monitoring that gets displayed on a user interface
that is also responsible for whole house audio/radio control and
distribution).

But Comfort remains at the core of the basic automation and I'd use it
again.  I have x10 as the lighting control - I'd go CBUS now without a
doubt though.
