Hmmm.

I had the irtrans system back in the UK... it's *very* slow.

The modules work well enough (although stopping IR 'loops' involves some
very careful placement of stuff).

What I wanted to do was have *every* command go over the irtrans system (to
avoid the direct control of a device changing it's state in a way that the
controller didn't know about), so carefully set up receivers and stick on
emmiters - pretty nasty.

scrolling up and down through channels was a nightmare, and you basically
couldn't use the volume control.

I guess if you are using it in a more 'standard' way (but then, is that the
ukha way? ;) ) it would perform better.
