[OT] Vigor router question

HI, sorry for this being a bit off topic, but I know there is a
hardcore of Vigor users here - I curently have a 2600G (as a direct result
of those above named!) running on ADSL Max with long and noisy lines (6.5KM
2 Meg avg download speed) - would the 2820N offer me faster speeds or am I
stuck with what I have.

BTW I tried getting a Netgear DG834GT and using the tweaked firmware from
DGTeam and whilst it was interesting it didn't really do much.
