And now the next problem, which I guess is not easily (and probably
not cheaply) solvable.

Now that I have my CurrentCost serial connection working I need to get
it to the other side of the house via structured my structured cabling
- typically where we want the display (kitchen) is about the furthest
point from Node0 as possible. The distance is probably 40m once all of
the twists & turns of the cable are taken into account and it's just
too far for the signal to travel.

The signal does go the 15m or so from the kitchen to my patch panel,
but the 25m from the patch panel to Node0 doesn't work - the combined
distance is obviously a non-started.

Any got any bright ideas about how to boost the strength?
