I have had these valves, from RSWW inline for controlling my bath hot
water
for about 5 years (may be more), without problem......and believe it or
not,
use x10 for controlling....before anyone says anything it is not
failsafe, nor considered reliable, but using comfort and homeseer firing x10
off signals after a time period has worked to date........(to date being
the
key phrase until the bathroom is redone)
For about a tenner +vat, very good value and very well suited, of course
x10
is not the most reliable control method...

Ian Bird and myself used these from www.rswww.com parts number 342-023 and
342-039
Details of my old installation are shown here
http://www.gadgetshed.co.uk/index.php?pg=2207
I ended up linking them into a HomeVision output via a relay board but
initially just had them on switches link to a plug in 12v transformer.
