While I understand the frustration, you can't expect new generations
of products
to always work with old add-ons. Apple can't certify hardware for use
with the
iPhone or Ipod Touch if they don't exist at the time. Apple have
provided 'Works with'
labeling for both the iPhone and Ipod Touch. Of course you can't buy
'Works with'
add ons if the thing they 'Works with' doesn't exist.

Having said that I think Apple are cnuts but I do like some of their
hardware and I certainly like OSX.

However, who the f&$k in their right mind WANTS to use iTunes for
anything (other than torture)
it's the biggest pile of donkey droppings to plop out of those
cappuccino sipping Cupertino dwellers.
IMHO anyone that wants to use iTunes for anything deserves the whole
'bag of hurt' that it is.

Of course, if Palm had been more open they'd have used established
standards, preferably open ones, so
that the multitude of applications and sync mechanisms already
available could be used. Palm tried to be
smart and cheap and failed on the smart part.
