Re: Blu Ray player recommendation

Hiya Peter!

You might want to hold out for the next one up - the 550 - its on
pre-order at dabs at the mo and a recent visit to a Sony centre seemed
to think it should be released 'within a month'. One of the reasons I'm
waiting for it is it has separate 7.1 analogue audio out right off the
back of the box.

If you can find a Feb 2009 copy of 'What Hi-Fi' they have a review of
'best blue-ray players' in it - the Pioneer BDP-51FD gets 'best of under
£500' mark although both the Sony's get mentioned.

I must admit - I think I would go with the Sony, one of the plus points
being that (all going well) it will be hooked up to a Sony tv - so the
'Bravia link' tech comes in to play. (Sony box talking to Sony box)

Cheers
Wayne.

(oh - Dabs currently sell the 350 at £172.48 inc vat - pass on
delivery
though)
