You can't save energy if you have no baseline to work out what is
consuming energy. However, I understand the point you are making it
that is a means to an ends not an end in itself.
Conceptually it is a good project using an existing device that works
well and get the information it provides into more usable formats.
Its better than current cost because it measures both current and
voltage.
