CurrentCost - Accuracy?

I have had a CurrentCost installed for a couple of months now, but it
does
not seem to be as accurate as I would like.

I know from previous bills (using accurate meter readings) over a 4 year
period, my annual consumption consistently between 5,500 & 6,000 kWh.

However, the CurrentCost is saying 230kWh for last 30 days, 53kWh last 7
days, that equates to less than 3,000kWh per year, which is way off what my
electricity meter (digital) shows. I would also expect my consumption to be
above average for Dec/Jan, due to xmas etc.

Anyone else any experience of the accuracy? I would expect +/-10% or even
+/-20%, but not -50%.

Cheers,

Craig
