RE: RS232

Don't know about the first bit but I've just been re-connecting a few
serial devices in Node0 recently. Hyperterminal doesn't exist on Vista if
that's what you're using?

Try downloading and using Putty - a good alternative.

Are you also sure you have the right cable? That can cause a lot of head
scratching if not. Of course, you'll need your serial to USB dongle anyway
before you can go much further!
