Hi

Not sure about an alternative to iTunes. However I do have iTunes
installed on my work laptop and my own PC at home. I use the home PC
as the master for set up and for syncing my own MP3s etc.

With the work PC, I sync to that very regularly (at least twice a
day)for calendar and contacts as that's my 'master' set for that stuff.

Usefully, the iPhone then syncs that all back to my home PC (which is
useful for me - I had real probs keeping private and work contacts
sorted on my phone before).

So, in summary, I've not found any problems using iTunes and an iPhone
to sync between two PCs. In fact works very well.

Interestingly (bowing to pressure) iTunes is considered an 'optional'
(i.e. not prohibited) application by our IT department. But MobileMe
is a definite no-no for us - it goes way too far in terms of putting
corporate data in the cloud.

And on a HA vein, Squidgy on the iPhone/Touch is great for squeezeboxes!

Richard
