RE: CurrentCost

Paul,

If you=92ve got the PAC then an alternative I=92m working on at the moment
=
is to
use one of the PAC serial ports to connect the CC and to extract the Energy
Now and Last day etc levels into Group Address levels. That way I don=92t
need to leave a PC running (this is for a holiday home which I=92m trying
t=
o
lower my energy usage on when I=92m away). I have the code working in
PICE=
D
using the CC USB lead but haven=92t transferred it into the PAC yet =96 I=
=92ll
also have to make an RJ45:RJ45 serial lead which unfortunately needs the
voltage converter=85

=20

Just a thought=85

Cool. Cheers dude. (my bearded sandal wearing reply!)

So far I've only been able to find the USB data cable available online for
around =A38. I have no objection to using this, but I already have the
prolific drivers installed on the HA PC (for the CBUS PAC), so I'm not sure
what the effect of having *another* USB virtual COM Port is likely to be,
and whether I'm setting myself up for hassle & grief which I could
avoid by
just using the direct to DB9 cable... does anyone know if/where the
old-style serial cable might still be available?

TIA

Paul G.
