Subject: [ukha_d] OT Utility Bills
Sorry for the OT but I've googled and can't find anything.
I received a solicitors letter from a utility company last night- no bills
or intermediate letters demanding payment within 10 days. This is a bill
for
a property I left in March 2000- surely they have missed their chance?
Don't
thy have 6 years like anyone else?
We did have a dispute when we left (and during). The property was a flat
over a shop and they kept sending us estimated bill readings at the
business
rate for a meter that they couldn't find (water board). I refused to pay
the
estimates until they could show us where the meter was and why we had to
pay
for the shop's water use as well (newsagent). They never did and sent us a
final bill for the fixed rate non-metered domestic option which we paid in
full.
They aren't getting the money- I just need them to go away asap.
Bro
