Might be worth posting this on avforums.com Xbox 360 section.

MS currently ask approx =A375 for a repair (goes to Germany) so might as

ll just buy another console.
If it's under 3 years old you could chance it and ring Xbox CS and tell

m it's got an E74 error (very common at the moment) - most consoles aren't

checked and they just put in a new motherboard for free.

Can anyone recommend who can repair XBox360's as mine has gone on the
blink. It's not the normal Red Ring of Death - it just freezes up,
occasionally with a quick burst of static through the TV speakers.

Done a Google and multiple companies come up, problem is that no one
appears to be local to me, so chancing my console to someone that I
can't go and see is not my favorite option.
