Re: [OT] : WatchDog Application monitor

Hi,

If this is run as a service, check out the recovery tab under properties.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] : WatchDog Application monitor

Hi,

I'm looking for a windows program (hopefully service) that will act as a
watchdog on another application/ service.

I have a server where an application running as a service is reliant on a
network connection to another PC on the WEB.
If the network drops out the service stops.

Basically, the monitoring program looks for a running EXE file. If the EXE
is not found then it is started. This is typically checked and at user
defined period I.e. 10mins.

I'm told that NT or 2000 had an application that would perform like this
but
I don't know what it is called or where to find it.

Obviously a free monitoring program would be required.

Neil Wrightson.
