Hiya Kevin,
From what I can tell - there has always been a '4 camera free version'
but you had to pay to open up more camera connections. Looking at the
web site now - they have created a new database driven high end version
and giving iRecord away for free - although re-reading this - it may
well be you can 'download' for free - rather than get full functions
right out of the box.

Interestingly I downloaded it the other day just to make sure and the
ANPR stuff is one of the things disabled on the free version. IIRC we
had to buy this as an extra for the installation we did once.
