Hi Neil,
Go back to your dealer - the Sonos distributors provide fixed price repairs
on out of warranty gear (any that we have had so far have been brand new
replacement units).
But out of all the units we've sold over the last four years we've had very
few problems and never the symptoms you describe so I think you've been
very
unlucky to have 3 out of 4 with this problem when we've had 0 out of (say)
1000.
In fact Sonos has been more reliable for us than any other brand we've ever
dealt with.
Have you spoken to Sonos to see if there's any possibility that something
could be causing this particular fault?
Kind regards,
Nick

Does anyone know where I can get out of warranty repairs carried out to
Sonos kit?
Whilst the Sonos system is great and "just works", when it works,
as
I've had 3 out of 4 units now fail.
Two have been warranty repairs but the 3rd is now out of warranty - Grrr!
All failures seem to be the same problem - The units lose their network,
either wired or wireless after 5 minutes or so with the
"connection" and
"activity" LEDS on both RJ45s coming on, whether a cable is
connected or
not!
Not very impressed really, considering the cost of the system.
