RE: Sky broadband

Brad,

I have changed my router on a number of occasions and never had a problem,
so I cant see it causing any issues if you try it.

Subject: [ukha_d] Sky broadband

Hi all,

Does anyone know if sky broadband is registered to the mac address of
the router?

I've just moved home and have ordered sky broadband but don't
particularly want to wait the advised 15 days for it to be working. The
previous occupants had sky broadband and so I was going to try plugging
in my old broadband router just in case it still worked, or in case my
subscription was up and running and the waiting time was for the
hardware.

Only potential issue I can see is if sky record the router mac address
and then block my new router when it arrives. Hence the question.

Thoughts?

Brad
