Just setup a buffalo linkstation duo 2Tb (2 * 1Tb drives in RAID1 or
can
configure in non RAID for full capacity), runs a Linux distribution and
seem
easy enough to tweak if you want to HA it or works well out of the box.
I've
tweaked mine for rsync backups.
