Yeah, it is well cool. I am just waiting to hear of the JTAG port is
available on the board or at least the JTAG lines are brought out to a
connector somewhere. Will design a small main board for it as I would like
to use these with a Zigbee module and use it to control my aircon units.
You can download the Atmel AVR Studio and WinAVR all for free and programme
it in C. I see that they give you all the code in C as well as Basic for it
and it is written in WinAVR. This is already supported in the Atmel IDE and
if you pickup a cheap JTAG connection you can easily do debugging on the
device etc.

Wow this is brilliant! Perfect for modding onto a wall plate for
heating/multi-room audio control. Absolutely loving it. Even buying
one for each room isn't going to break the bank. Will order one as
soon as possible (i.e. when I understand how it works).
