Thanks to Tim I softmodded for the first time last night, as others
have said its a piece of cake and works great.

I've used the enigmah disc to change to NTSC to work with my advanced
av pack to get 720p output.

My last struggle is to get digital audio working. Now the reason i've
bought this xbox is to get the digital audio sorted as I've never
managed to do it on my chipped box.

So I've got the xbox going to official MS advanced av pack that
includes an optical out.

That's going into my marantz sr4400 amp. Settings changed in both the
MS dashboard and also within xbmc but nada, amp displays 'No Data'.

I've had the digital working recently through the amp both with a ps2
and a mac mini so it works but i've never had it working with an xbox.
Is there anything fundamentally different with the xbox? maybe
something the amp doesn't support?

Last question....when digital does work, does it output all sound over
digital i.e. navigation sounds within xbmc etc or do you have to have
analog connected for things like that?

Cheers

Noel
