Re: TiVo About to Re-launch in the UK



EPG's are of course free on most (all?) UK recorders now but not on
Tivo.  Even in the US I believe they still charge but in Australia where
Tivo are just launching it will be free, which surprised everyone.   The
point was  that Tivo would have to offer significantly more if they do
charge a subscription - in order to compete with the norm.   We all know
it's the best but new purchasers don't.   The integration of the Tivo
product with many other services, audio, multiroom etc become  key
differentiators but that isn't the volume market.

Original UK Tivos  still need a sub.  Sorry to raise your hopes
there....;-)
