X10 based burglar alarm

Hi,

I'm new to this list and the world of home automation.

I've been looking at X10 based alarm systems and it seems like the
Marmitek SC9000 systems are reasonable. Firstly I wondered if anyone
has experience of these and if so how reliable they are?

Secondly I wondered exactly how much of the system it's possible to
access via X10 (I assume you can't disarm it..), but does anyone know
if I can get the following? (I'd probably be using a CM11 connected to
a Linux box)

- Be told when the system is armed and disarmed
- Information from motion sensors
- When the alarm is triggered

Thanks,
David
