Draytek 2820 Dual WAN ADSL Router

I've been thinking about getting a Draytek Vigor 2820 for the failover
capability with 3G. I've got an on-going issue with my ADSL line - normally
it's fine, but every 7-8 weeks it suddenly becomes unstable and I'll lose
internet access for something like 1-5 days, then the fault clears itself.
So far I've not managed to get a BT engineer out when the fault is actually
happening, by the time they appear it's cleared itself and the line tests
out really well. And of course the engineers can't fix what they can't see.
(Yes, this is an ongoing saga and my problem is with the bureaucrats who
can't get an engineer out fast enough, not the engineers themselves who've
been great.) The best they can suggest is it's some form of
electro-magnetic interference, but I can't think of anything that is
happening on a 2+ month cycle that could be causing it. Ho hum.

Anyway having continuous internet access is now becoming essential rather
than a nice to have. In the old days it was used for a bit of surfing and
email, now it's used for remote access to the IP cameras, Cortex and the
alarm systems. If I'm away, I want to be able to access the house systems
remotely and if something goes wrong I want the house to be tell me :-) So
the thought was go for some kind of wireless back to the ADSL line.

Just wondering if anyone on the list has any experience of these (good or
bad), or has an alternative suggestion.

Thanks, Jamie.
