Thanks Paul. Already did that I can't find a download link to the easy
transfer software (apart from the one that comes with the Microsoft easy
transfer cable!)

The Vista Easy Transfer tool will do this. I tried to copy the help file
text but it wouldn't copy and paste.

Basically, you can collect the program files/settings/user files etc from
XP
and import them into Vista in a number of ways (IIRC - DVD/CD/Direct
connection etc)

Have a google for Windows easy transfer for more info...
