I too have a 3ware PCI-X RAID card. Mine is sat in a 64bit PCI-X slot in a
Dell Server but the bloody thing will not do transfers faster than the
magic
32bit/33mhz PCI 133MB limit. It does maintain that speed across the whole
array (8x 320GB drives).

Basically I would try before you buy if possible- having said that I did
buy
the motherboard that Ian got (Asus P5WDG2) with a Q6600 and 8GB ram
(<£100
rude not to) and 4x 1TB drives. I haven't moved the 3ware over to it yet- I
can't find a suitable case (need 10x 3.5" and 4x5.25").
