Just thought I would give you a quick update.
I purchased the cheap Multimeter in the end (=A35 from Maplin) and it=20=20
does not seem to work!!!
The contact on the probes is not great. If you rotate the probes the=20=20
reading changes from what is expected down to zero!
I think I will be purchasing a better one.
