Touch screen advice needed

Hi All
I know some of you have already got touch screens setup so I'm looking
for some buying advice as to what features / resolutions to look for or
avoid. I'm looking for a small, eg 7 or 8", touch screen to put in my
hall way to present temperature data, weather forecast and heating
control type info. I have a Mini ITX PC in the cupboard under the
stairs so distance to a PC is no issue (but screen reses might be) and
I would want it wall mounted rather than sunk into the wall.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what to get and where to get it
from?
