Sorry to hijack your thread I have been looking at this thread and now
attempting  to interface to the Heatmiser stats, I have a rs485
configurable
port on my controller, that handles  4 wire and 2 wire , ( so I have some
variables )

Could you let me known what the  y and b connect to + and - ?,

Also if I get past the first hurdle , looking at the codes ...
If I send set sat at address 01  power on, ( with the value for on at FF )
dose that mean the check sum  is more than one byte

Hope this make sense

Ah Sunday morning brain failure - I see now you are after the PRT and
not the PRT-N. I thought it was only the "-N" devices that had
the Y
and B wires for the RS 485 interface on them? I could well be wrong
though.
