Westinghouse has produced a "wireless HDTV" - a more blatant
waste of
spectrum it's hard to imagine - but in amongst the gushing was this
little nugget:
"The firm claims that the secure connection has no lag and is able to
stream a range of high definition formats including the highest
resolution TV format available today, known as 1080p."
Really? a high bandwidth wireless connection with no lag - amazing.
I'm looking forward to them deploying these laws-of-physics-defying
units in place of these clunky fibre optic cables with their oh-so-
yesterday "speed of light" lag.
pfft.
Why on earth would anyone want a wireless system to throw ludicrous
amounts of data between two devices that sit less than a meter apart?
because they are a moron, that's why.
