Looking for smart TV Guide

Surely online or otherwise TV guides have got clever?
If I decide to record or remind myself about Jimmy Car, I would like to
know
about all future things he appears in as they happen. Ideally I would like
this linked to Sky+ but you can't have everything !
I am going to give DigiGuide a go. I used it about 5 or 6 years ago
