My understanding is that the main difference is the the networking bit
ie
you have more options with the Pro version so gives more
flexibility/option=

- certainly useful in HA land.

With XP you need

1) The Media - ie a copy of XP on DVD. This should come with new
PCs/Laptop=
s
and on its own is not woth much. Should be able to get this on ebay . There
are 2 versions of XP with/without Service Pack 2 already 'built-in'

2) License Key. On new pc's with it ready installed the license key sticker
should be on the PC. So you may have this and not the media. This is what
costs money - plus you have to register it on-line/phone with Microsoft
within 60? days or it stops working
