Not sure if anyone else has posted but following on from other
discussions about the excellent iPod Touch but being stuck with having
to use iTunes, it looks like things are changing.

Yesterday MediaMonkey released a pre-beta of MediaMonkey 3.0 that
incorporates full iPhone and iPod Touch support with no additional

WinAmp also has the ability to read / write files to the iPod Touch /
iPhone and update the internal database (although you do need to
reboot the device to get the library to pick up changes,
