I know the XBOX *can* do 720p as long as you put into NTSC mode, use
the
component out cables and use specific codec options. Apparently some of
the advanced options in divx/xvid are too much for it. As far as I was
aware the XBOX just doesn't have the horsepower to do anything above
720p... how are you managing 1080i out of it..tell me more !

Hmm I have my xbox doing 720p and 1080i using a konig component AV
cable, but I guess you may not count that as HD ?
