There's no such thing as overkill in UKHA :)

LinuxMCE does look good though, so many things to look at, SWMBO is warming
to a PC based solution though.

Well, LinuxMCE does control external settop boxes, but I'd say for
his requirements LinuxMCE might be overkill.
