Your problem with Win2K8, is it related to authentication or AD
integration?

Win2K8 has a new strong algorithm than can cause problems with NASs but
there's a setting to downgrade it. I can try to dig out the details if it's
relevant.

We use Thecus and Qnap
The Thecus has a better build quality but really does this matter. It is
also reflected in the price
Qnap seems to have more toys on arrival
Both work fine though neither work fully with 2008 server (What Does!!)

Either will do what you are asking.
