Ah, I'd forgotten about the Plogg.

Its a shame that Homeplug hasn't taken off in the way I'd hoped it
would - ADSL routers, Settop boxes, TVs, X10/Z-Wave/Zigbee/Homeeasy
alternatives for controlling & measuring appliances, all getting data
via their power plugs.

I know there's a working group for Homeplug to define "Command &
Control" extensions but I don't think they're released a spec yet and
even if they have there's no HA products on the market using Homeplug
for signalling AFAIK.

It would be great just to be able to plug devices (Settop boxes,
digital photo frames, etc) into the power socket and have them
automatically network.
