This would be no different with any other HDCP enabled connection - if
the source material requires HDCP, you'll only be able to watch it if
both player and display are HDCP enabled. If you don't have a HDCP
compliant output port (eg the DVI Mac minis), there is no question of
being able to watch the source material, even if the display is HDCP
compliant.  It just won't work. (Unless you have on of those widgets
that removes the HDCP, in which case it's not an issue...)

It's not he presence of a HDCP compliant connector that's the problem,
it's the requirement to have one in order to play back the material -
and the fault there lies at the feet of the studios...
