Yes, you're right I did have my tongue in my cheek, so apologies to
Stephen for dragging his name through this.

I'm fully aware of the pressure of running a business, and the needs
to make a living.  I've taken a fair bit of stick myself over the
years as a parasitic management consultant - but I do work damned
hard as well!

The point I wanted to make though really is that as an owner of an
Integrator I would expect nothing less than an impecable
installation - access to the right kit, with the right skills all on
tap should mean that you can achieve top results at "cost" price
-
that could be a fraction of the cost that we would have to pay to
deliver the same results.  Added to that it can be viewed as a staff
training exercise, act as a showroom etc etc.  It sounds like he's
done just that and got it right - a good advert for his business.

Personally I enjoy the challenge of learning how to get a CBUS light
switch to open my Velux windows etc, so I wouldn't necessarily go
down the integrator route.

However, I'm still envious....
