Sounds like my house - have all of that.

You don't need mega bucks - just some imagination :-)

I was in a *proper* smart home last night. I got a tour of the Jones
residence (Steve is a member of this list and owner of http://i-home.co.uk
).

This is how home automation SHOULD be done. Flat screen TVs on the walls
everywhere, motorised speakers and screen in the AV Room, C-Bus DLTs
everywhere (including bathrooms), C-Bus and other touchscreens, Bathroom
TVs, LED accent lighting, Whole House audio, subtle ceiling speakers all
integrated and working together. Unbelievable.

My 7yo boy (who's seen his fair share of gadgetry) couldn't stop talking
about it on the way home :)

While we may not all have the budget for such a comprehensive system,
there's a lot to be said for the results you can obtain using a
professional
integrator / custom installer. Now, if someone could just give me the 6
numbers for this Saturday...

M.
