Duncan,

Just to let you know that if you did decide on C-Bus and wish to go
wireless I have a number of their wireless dimmer and relay switches
spare at very attractive prices . They are Saturn UK sized white glass
versions. I may also be placing some on eBay shortly. A C-Bus
solution would still be significantly more expensive than say Z-Wave -
but it's a very professional solution and a UKHA favourite.

You can set C-Bus up as a totally wireless solution and in that
respect it often can be retrofitted by simply replacing existing
switches. However to add extra control and automation you will need to
bridge the wireless network to a wired one and connect that onwards to
your chosen controller. (C-Bus PAC, touchscreen , Comfort, my gateway ,
CQC, scene controller etc)
